WHO FUNDS US
The CAB gratefully acknowledges the support
of a number of donors:
- Swale Borough Council
which provides funds for the CAB’s core activities and also for giving housing advice to clients of the Housing Options Team;
- The Legal Services Commission
(LSC) which provides the funds for two part-time debt caseworkers;
- The Treasury via Citizens
Advice which funds two Financial Inclusion Fund Debt Caseworker
posts;
- Faversham Town Council
for contributing to the costs of the Faversham Caseworker;
- Amicus Horizon who
contribute to our core costs, in recognition of the service we provide
many of their tenants
- The Nationwide Building Society
which funds the Financial Capability Project in partnership with Citizens
Advice;
- The Department of Work and Pensions Future Job Fund enables long-term unemployed 18-24 year olds to get work experience.
- Parish Councils in
the Borough
- Many small donors such as the William Barrows Charity for grants to use in cases of extreme hardship of residents of the parish of Borden and the Cole Charitable Trust IT Fund for the Faversham Bureau.
- Friends of CAB in Swale
Total income in 2010/11 was £374,826
with 57% from non-local authority sources.

The Bureau represents very good value
for the community. Eventually money gained for clients makes its way back
into the local economy via shops and services so that many people benefit.
